To my valued patients:

On June 30, 2024, Alpine Dermatology, LLC will suspended services.

Despite three years of efforts, I have been unable to secure another collaborating physician.  There just aren’t enough dermatologists in the United States, let alone Alaska, though I will continue to seek another collaborative physician.

Another opportunity for Alpine Dermatology, LLC to continue to provide services in Juneau is being considered by the the Alaska Legislature.  Senate Bill 115 is the next step for modernizing physician assistant practice in Alaska, which would eliminate the legal requirement for a specific relationship between a PA, physician, or any other healthcare provider.  This will allow PAs to practice to the full extent of their education, training, and experience.  It will also create a practice environment that is modernized, helping Alaska to recruit and retain more qualified healthcare providers for the state. 

I encourage you to look into Senate Bill 115. If you would like to take part in improving the availability of quality healthcare in Alaska, contact your representatives and urge them to take action to pass this important legislation.
